In an effort to offer a wider variety of tours to Africa at a reasonable price, the Beckmans formed a partnership with Errol DeBeer, one of the leading birding and naturalist guides in sub-Saharan Africa, in 2015. Cheepers! Africa is the result of that partnership, a spinoff of the original company that will operate using the same standards of service to our clients: lower per-day costs and personal attention prior to, during, and after your tour.
While a few African tours will still be offered on the Cheepers! Birding on a Budget set departure schedule each year, many more will be available on the Cheepers! Africa website. The scheduled tours offered on the original website will be accompanied by the Beckmans as tour leaders while those offered by Cheepers! Africa will be led and guided by Errol or an equally qualified guide. We also offer custom tours to any of the countries you see on the set departure schedule, as well as Gabon and Kenya.
